Hypothesis

By changing the text in the announcement bar to communicate the discounts in % instead of $ and highlighting the “Black Friday sale” in some variations and adding an underline to the % discount test, visitors will be more encouraged to click on the announcement bar and seeing more products and great deals, thereby the RPV will increase We send traffic either to /collections/products or /collections/bundles-1 depending on the variation.

What we learned

-The winning variation was a combination of 4 factors; calling out the Black Friday Sale, stating savings as a %, the free shipping callout & the underlined text to indicate clickability; further testing may be required to isolate the most meaningful of those factors to aid future promotions, but the underlined copy variations performed most strongly -The site uses a combination of % and $ off throughout, and the results of this test suggest that a more uniform use of % could be beneficial for promotions
